    Pros

    Great work environment Strong teamwork mentality Management that cares about you as a person, not just as an employee Competitive pay and pay increase structure (even for part time)

    Cons

    The work can be physically taxing Hours can be long (pro if you need the $$) Other terminals (Columbus) seem to care less about how freight is shipped to you

    Advice to Management

    Step up quality management among all terminals, including your hubs. I have seen so much inventory senselessly destroyed because of cut corners on the loading of trailers.

      I worked at Forward Air full-time for less than a year

      Pros

      Weekly paycheck and that’s about it.

      Cons

      Micromanagement, poor training and deception.

      In my 16 year logistics career, I’ve never been been micromanaged as much as I’ve seen occur here. Management is deceptive in their hiring, as I was hired for a sales role and wasn’t informed of an upcoming 5% rate increase that occurred 30 days after my hire. Pointless meetings interfered with the sales process, as Monday and Friday’s were spent in one meeting or another. Expected to make 15 in person visits per week,...
