I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great training, a good place to get experience in real estate and then move on.

    Cons

Long days, no extra holiday days considering essentially you work an additional 26 days a year for free if you work more surely you could give a bit more? It was probably the place to work as sales negotiator and make money when it was under John Hunt’s management, since going public I don’t think they have kept up with the times and struggle to see how they justify their fees with other competitors fast catching up....

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people not like numbers and incentivise sales people you’d be amazed what you get back.

Thank you for your comments. We have always been upfront with our candidates regarding the working hours (including Saturdays). Being in a consumer-facing role means that we can work outside of the standard office 9-5 hours to suit our customers. We realise that it's not for everyone ...

I worked at Foxtons full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I had a blast developing all the amazing marketing campaigns we did. I had a huge budget and had many of my designs appear in TV and movies such as "Sex in the city", and "The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind".

    Cons

The long hours were brutal during the holidays

    Advice to Management

You need to learn more about American culture before you market here again
