    Pros

At the time of my employment, Friedman was a friendly place that promoted growth and development of its employees. As far as accounting firms go, it also promoted work-life balance. Although some employees were over-worked at times, for the most part the workload wasn't too crazy. The company also invested into semi-annual parties, employee lunches, professional development classes, etc. For a mid-size firm, it was doing pretty well, and the salaries were decent.

    Cons

At times office politics were getting in the way of business decisions, or promotions, but that's probably true about any company larger than 10 people.
Also, if you are not an accountant, there is no growth.

    Advice to Management

Be more open in communications with employees.
