Pros

My coworkers were such an awesome group of people. Loved the manager I had before the one that took over. Aside from alllll the bad things, I appreciate the opportunity I was given. I learned and I grew, and I know I'll do great elsewhere.

Cons

I finally feel comfortable enough to leave this review. I want to start off by saying I WAS SO UNDERPAID. It's insane. Shame on Friendemic for overworking their employees and paying them this low. College grads, you can find so much better. Don't settle for these nonsensical salaries. Cool your clients are mainly automotive. But it becomes really boring and redundant really quickly. The clients stick to the same thing and just go with it each month. It starts to feel robotic just producing the same old work. Friendemic’s own social pages get minimum engagement. Because you deal with a boring, old clientele. Become more creative, open up to other fields, target a more interesting audience. The amount of employee overturns I saw within a year is crazy. Please tell me how the company is reputable when a fellow co-worker starts and then receives an alarming complaint from a team member just a week later. I saw employees pack their lives up to move to a new office and get fired last minute. Upper management will fire people with ease. People constantly keep asking you guys to INFORM employees if they’re not performing well before just firing them out of the blue. But no. The review below me is correct – they do not have any empathy. There is this manager we all know of, who started from the bottom and worked her way up, overtaking everyone and taking over their jobs. She is favored way too much. A very small amount of people actually like her. She’s frustrating to many. She is so fake to her teams, it’s not even funny. I liked the older manager much better. The CEO made a really bad decision letting her go. CEO, stop picking and choosing people. But I don’t really care anymore because I’ve peaced out. So good luck to everyone who has to deal with this annoying favoritism and unfair treatment. They make you sign a noncompetition contract, which I really feel like held me back when I applied to like, hundreds and hundreds of jobs. Whatever you guys did or said when someone called for a reference, it’s not that deep. Let your employees move on and work somewhere else. We need to make some dang money. I’m not going to sit here and pretend like I’m perfect and I make no mistakes. EVERYONE makes mistakes. Even my manager did. But some people are given chances and some people aren’t. (I’ll let you interpret that). When an employee opens up and shares what they’re going through, listen and make the right move. Not asking for pity, but I was SO depressed coming into work most days. Life exists outside of work - and some of us challenge the worst things in life. I truly commend myself because I never complained, I never let anyone in my office know I was depressed, I worked my butt off, and I took whatever criticism I was given with a great attitude. I always, always responded to my coworkers nicely, even if some of them sounded rude. But when I tried to resolve things, my words didn’t matter. I got some nonsense excuse about something that I KNOW I resolved. My point is, depression exists. It is real. And many of your employees have it. How great would it be if the upper management helped with this? One can only wish… HR doesn’t care and does not resolve anything. Employees get to anonymously submit their concerns and questions, but the important ones never get answered in meetings. They do not like hearing the truth. They’re sugar-coating a lot of things. It’s sad because they hire new people and let them believe everything is rainbows and butterflies. I think all my coworkers in MY office are really talented. Honestly, I think they deserve to be working for someone better. I don’t think the company is doing so great financially. They cut so many budgets and employee perks and they’re letting people go left and right. Kind of makes me feel bad for them. Even though this job ended not-so-greatly for me, I wish Friendemic well. Other companies are flourishing and evolving, so let’s hope you do too.

Thank you for sharing this review; it's difficult to read and I wish we could have discussed more. We definitely DO care; I can assure you that every one of our managers regularly loses sleep over decisions that will affect our employees' well-being and we are always trying to make Friendemic a better place for all of us subject to the constraints we face. It's unfortunate that your experience was not what we all hoped and not what the most of our employees experience. I do want to address one specific point from your review regarding a non-competition contract. Our standard employee agreement, among other terms, only restricts employees from work that would interfere with your employment at Friendemic *during the term of your employment with Friendemic.* Beyond that, we have provisions for the protection of confidential information, but nothing that should restrict your ability to work for any company going forward. If you feel like you are being restricted in your job search, please review your employee agreement or reach out to our HR team to discuss. We wish you the best in your next endeavor.
