I worked at Frost & Sullivan as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

In China, it is still a relatively small company. Working Schedule is pretty flexible and you can enjoy the freedom of leading project by yourself. Good welfare.

Cons

There is kind of lack of efficiency in sharing data among different groups because the groups are competing with each other.

Advice to Management

Fewer Interns, more employees. Help staff achieve efficiency.

    Pros

Learnt a lot about a particular topic, and also some some processes. Great to get media coverage. A very nice bunch of very clever colleagues enhances the learning, and the fun.

    Cons

Salary and benefits is poor. Level of trust of analysts is low, even though people really work hard. Management doesn't really take responsibility so if you have too much to do, then it's your problem because you didn't manage your time properly not because you were overloaded. Career advancement is generally poor and seems to be quite dependent on management prejudices. Inability to deal with poor management.

    Advice to Management

    Trust and nuture your analysts

I worked at Frost & Sullivan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly company culture - mass Friday night drinks, etc. and friendly people. Sales people can do ok there but if you're actually producing the material you are undervalued.

    Cons

Middle management has no idea what it's doing and salaries are so low as to be genuinely offensive, while executive pay continues to be very strong. HR is incompetent and extremely lazy. This results in a culture of 'good enough', and any attempts to change this are quickly put down.

    Advice to Management

Show genuine appreciation for the staff you have who are good and fire the ones who are not - first, know enough about your sector to be able to tell the difference.
