Advice to Management

Think seriously what GALA's business goal and also consider marketing Objectives. As a result of this, should evaluate itself how the company can implement instantly and penetrate market properly

    Pros

Opportunity to deliver change and be involved in making the business a success. Rewarded for success. Fast paced and challenging. Great management team, no ivory towers here, just people wanting to do the best for the customers and the business.

    Cons

Can be long hours as there is so much to do. Things move very quickly, change is delivered at a phenomenal pace and that can be hard to keep up with.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at GALA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Used to be a good company to start with in the gaming industry. Great location in Tokyo and tons of holidays.

    Cons

No real management. If the CEO and his female friends (promoted at c-level positions without any knowledge nor understanding of what is going on in the industry) like you, you will get a small raise but don't expect salaries matching the industry nor real promotions. There is a clear glass ceiling for males or people that might threaten people above you. There is no motivation package and they don't hesitate to fire foreign employees rather than trying to limit their expenses (CEO and c-level travelling to every show possible, taking taxi to and from home at the company expenses, drinking coffee all day, etc.).

    Advice to Management

The CEO should retire and hire a real gaming specialist as well as a proper CFO. Other management positions should be filled by experienced, open-minded people that will be able to maintain a certain unity within the company. There is a clear brain drain and the good people remaining are not used properly.
