I have been working at GCA Services full-time (More than a year)

Pros

You are given a lot of freedom to manage how you see fit with little or no interference from upper management. Potentially high bonuses. Extremely flexible hours.

Cons

Little or no support from upper management. Zero encouragement/support from upper management to advance within the company. Bonuses are very difficult to achieve.

Advice to Management

Support those who seek to advance. Provide bonuses based on revenue generated.

    GCA is not a bad company, they leave you alone and let you do your work. Alot of talented people do work for GCA and they have grown very rapidly

    Cons

    The hours in some cases are bad and the company is extreamly tight with money.

    They offer benefits to salaried & administrative employees

    Cons

    hiring practices are not fair, are not fair in terminting employees (some employees are allowed to do what they want and others get fired right away), management is unaware of what goes on at individual work sites, management is rarely at the individual work sites, pay is horrible, company loves to blame workers for mistakes instead of trying to make policies and procedures better, employees and operations staff are rude and unhelpful, hiring/interview process is different for everyone, there is no consistency with policies/procedures/etc., management smokes illegally in work site

    Advice to Management

    Grow up and take responsibility for your actions. Do not blame everyone else for things going wrong!. And be at the site where you work...stop making excuses for never being there.
