I have been working at GE Healthcare full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

stable and new technology, a lot of nice people, feel good about making a difference in people's life. very diversified, different background, different culture.

Cons

Sometimes it is stressful, there are a few persons who are not so nice. High health insurance cost. hard to balance personal life and work.

Advice to Management

Make sure you hear the truth.

I worked at GE Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

GE Healthcare, in general, can be a good place to work. The OEC division is very different from the rest of the company. I can understand why they are under a Consent Decree,

    Cons

This office was the worst office I have ever worked in. The lack of communication between people and offices was deadly. The office management was terrible, with little to no support from those managers.

    Advice to Management

Train direct managers better, or give them a better understanding of how to manage people with respect and positive reinforcement.

I worked at GE Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule, good compensation, my plants management was pretty good. I was non-exempt which is always a good position to be in.

    Cons

They will lay you off in a flash. I was told I was getting laid off literally the day after I had my first annual review and was told I was getting a raise. Needless to say that was not a pleasant experience. It wasn't anybody in the plants doing so I can't say bad things about the actual facility I worked in.

    Advice to Management

Quit laying off dedicated employees because business grew .1% less than the projected amount. Especially one week after they just bought a house.
