Positive Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at GE Power full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Clean water will always be needed.

Cons

GE's Cost of Living raises do not coincide with inflation. You make less every year you stay with GE. GE's pay is not competitive with other local employers such as Boeing or Microsoft.

Advice to Management

Value your employees. Pay them what they're worth. Live up to the would-be GE integrity clause. And also, get rid of SAP -- it's killing the business.

I worked at GE Power as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good work environment
Great location (nearby beach, with excellent watersports, scuba diving, etc)

    Cons

Much of the work is not design work or highly technical. Instead, as with many jobs in the nuclear industry, it seems to revolve more around paperwork and bureaucracy. This can make the job a little dull for someone seeking a highly technical and fast-paced engineering environment.
