I have been working at GE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great name, not too much pressure. Lots of good people. Very little politics at the engineer level. At times some amazing resources can be brought to bear on a problem.

    Cons

Bureaucracy can be nearly impervious at times. Sometimes it may take months to get simple agreements signed.

    Advice to Management

Contrary to popular belief, management should have some familiarity with the technology their team is working on.
