    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at GE full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Cutting edge management techniques. Learn from the best. Always the best equipment. More of a meritocracy than most companies I've worked for e.g. Lockheed Martin, DuPont, Xerox. No place for drones to hide. Either perform or out.

    Cons

No longer offer pension to new hires. Draconian health care plan that sucks money from your pocket. Great sick and personal day allowances..... but if you use them, it's frowned upon and mentioned during your annual review.

    Advice to Management

The performance of employees is what drives the bottom line. Since Immelt took over, he is reducing benefits of employees and taking money from their checks. Sooner or later this will lead to an exodus of top-notch people and the general quality of employee will decline... as will profits and the stock price. Pay more attention to the long term consequesces of your "bottom line" employee-squeezing decisions today.
