I have been working at GE part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

I can experience the GE culture and process, which is one of the best management case worldwide myself.

Cons

GE is so huge that simplicity is hardly to achieve, causing some inevitable problems such as floor workers could not get a big picture of GE which is a kind of chronic disease to GE.

Advice to Management

start to value every single employee and train them as one of a team.

I worked at GE as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I was working as an R&D intern in GE Energy in UK where they design air filtration systems. I have spent there two of my summers during uni and my time there was very positive. Had a great team of guys who were willing to help in every aspect for me to familiarize with the company, helped me with my work and understanding company procedures. Most of the engineers and managers had a bachelors degree and some of them had done apprenticeships and that was well reflected in the general culture : no ''I know it all and you are just a student'' attitude, but always a genuine interest in my own opinion, work and future plans.

    Cons

I guess the only downside was that I was an intern there, so they quite understandably didn't want to give me any serious project work, just some minor design, testing and hands on work in the lab. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience I got in those 6 months.

    Advice to Management

Doing a great job so far !
