I worked at GE part-time (Less than a year)

Management is extremely helpful and the training is awesome.

Micro management of the time is too extreme.

    Advice to Management

A little bit more flexibility on time given to employees, in other words every second and minute is watched extensively.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at GE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Compensation was far better than most employers in area, but frustrating experience

    Cons

Extremely difficult to affect positive change in GE's corporate structure. Middle and upper managers know things are being done wrong, but are powerless to change them. Senior leadership is far more concerned with quarter-to-quarter numbers than long term viability of the businesses and customer loyalty. GE gives lots of leadership training and lip service about opportunities for advancement, but posted leadership positions always require prior experience.

    Advice to Management

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
