Company split throws a wrench
Infrastructure ArchitectCurrent Employee, more than 1 yearAtlanta, GAPros
Great benefits, unlimited PTO, work from anywhere, internal car and home insurance, half day Fridays during summer
Cons
Splitting into 3 companies so a lot of the work is being handed to contractors and we are expected to apply to the new companies but there aren’t enough jobs for us being posted. Also the split work is boring because there’s no real innovation and all just change freeze for now. After the split, all 3 companies would probably be great to work for.

Pros
No office politics. Working on your own. Grateful customers.
Cons
No office assistance, only verbal brow beatings. Project management wants to build invoices and collect payments, but don’t expect any help if an issue developers. After the threats and verbal abuse you hang up the phone, close the emails and figure out how to fix the problem yourself. Expect this from the first week until startup, when they overload the budget with engineers and techs to steal all remaining money and then begin back charging the customer for any and all issues and mistakes, even their own.
