Pros

The product helps improve the quality of life for many people with hearing loss. The people are generally competent and easy to work with. There is a tendency to push the envelope on technology, which is a good thing, since some of those technologies become a significant competitive advantage.

Cons

Management of certain aspects of the company are questionable with negative outcomes proving out bad decisions. As a Danish owned company there is a cultural bias towards group think. There are also some significant differences in how people are treated. There's a general sense of inequity.

Advice to Management

Understand and properly handle risk. Recognize and reward talent.

    Pros

Great place to work. Freedom under responsibility
There's a difference between having it and knowing what to do with it.
GN employees are given room to reach their objectives in the ways they see fit which is a solid leadership move — if done right. But as challenging as it can be to define what exactly freedom means, it can be equally challenging, and weirdly paradoxical, to define its boundaries.
Freedom at GN can be the ability to keep non-traditional hours, work from home, exercise creativity in how to approach immediate job goals, or otherwise.

    Cons

Recruitment and promotion is from within, not necessarily qualified individuals but more natives people they can silence. I have good example where job description read "Engineer" but ended up with one far below that and huge "Engineers " told they lacked the desired qualifications

    Advice to Management

Although this might be hard, you need to follow your job ads and who get in
