Pros

You have the opportunity to offer customers the products that can change their lives for the better. You have the chance to build relationships with the folks you meet.

Cons

Deplorable senior management beginning at the Supervising Store Manager (SSM) level to the Divisional Vice President for region 32.
Zero direction from management above the store manager level, and intense ridicule, criticism, passive aggressiveness, and favoritism among the SSM, RSD, and DVP group.
Scapegoating of SSM responsibility on to store managers.
"Do as I say, not as I do." mentality.
I completely agree with individual's post from February 29, 2012 entitled "Roller Coaster".

Advice to Management

Take responsibility for you own actions. Do not wait until the very last minute and expect flawless execution of a initiative. Treat your employees with respect and recognize them when they are doing a good job, and guide them when they are in need of help.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

You can learn a lot. Great benefits package, all the major holidays are paid, schedule is flexible to a certain point.

    Cons

Never give you enough hours to properly cover the store or hire, poor communication up and down the chain of command, not allowed breaks if you work at a mall.

    Advice to Management

It is really unfortunate that the company has lost sight of its true mission. "To help customers live their best lives" used to be about making appropriate product recommendations by becoming a subject matter expert and help people feel better, not just shove an item they don't need down their throats. David Shakarian would never sell HCG.
