    Pros

    - You can check out video games.
    - Employee discount.
    - You get to learn about new games while being paid.
    - The regular customers are really great.
    - Most of my co-workers were awesome.

    Cons

    - Pays minimum wage.
    - NO HOURS! I was getting 40 hours a week when I first started, but it eventually got to the point that I wouldn't be put on the schedule unless I called the district manager and complained.
    - You have to try and convince every single customer to subscribe to Game Informer and/or reserve a game. Even if it's a 70 year old grandmother buying a $10 gift certificate for her grandchild. You still have to ask, even if you know for a fact that they're not interested or you get fussed at.
    - They do pocket and purse checks every time you walk out of the store. It sucks feeling like your employer never trusts you, even if you've worked there for years.
    - They never promote people within a store. If you get a new manager, he usually comes from somewhere else.
    - When I left, the manager at my store had only been with the company for 6 months before he became a manager and got his very own store. I worked there for years and never got any promotions. Never got any raises either.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire a bunch of employees and give everyone like 3 hours a week! Give those extra hours to the employees that you already have! A three or four hour shift is a waste of your employees' time.

    Pros

Like dealing with customers and the new games releases.

    Cons

The trades can sometime be very time consuming. They will use until they are done with you. Then they will find ways to get rid of you.
