Corporate likes to hire store managers and district managers out of the company
Forces stores to hire minorities for equality, forcing discrimination of qualified applicants

Advice to Management

Stop putting so much pressure on your employees to bombard customers with Reservations, PowerUp Cards, Warranties, Surveys, Notification Lists, Add-on sales, and Net10.

I worked at GameStop part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice environment to work in, nice benefits on purchases

    Cons

the management is far from perfect. They play favorites alot. Also they do not tell you that corporate is going to lay you off for not working in awhile due to school. Hours are terrible and they expect you to work UNPAID AND OFF THE CLOCK.

    Advice to Management

Change your ways. Some of the things you expect employees to do is unfair and illegal.
