I have been working at GameStop full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The customers are the best part.

    Cons

No work life balance. Do not value their employees. Poor compensation. It's all about the money with no thought to the people they push to the brink with no support in payroll or staffing to complete the ever growing litany of "required" tasks.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at GameStop part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of my coworkers make the job fun... sometimes.

    Cons

Lazy coworkers, oblivious dm, poor wages, shitty hours, aggressive sale tactics that gamers hate, poor communication, bad management.

    Advice to Management

Actually communicate with your employees. Ask the employees how they think we can best turn around the reputation of the company. Many gamers don't like Gamestop because of the aggressive sales and the goals that we have set to sell certain things.

A huge focus on sales over employee and customer satisfaction on top of digital downloads being common now is a huge reason why the company isn't doing well. No gamer wants to be hounded with sales pitches. They know what they want when they come in.
