One of the best reasons to work at GameStop is literally the discount you get but also if you're just looking to have something flexible enough that will allow you to have some sort of a life outside of the job. The job really isn't extremely hard. It's great if you're into video games and other things relating to that culture or hobby. You'll meet some very interesting individuals along the way plus

Cons

The downsides aside from it being retail and having to deal with people in general. The hours. The hours can be the worst part of it especially at my position because I'm mostly seen as a stopgap solution to whenever either SL(Store Leader) or ASL(Assistant Store Leader) isn't available to come in, you step in as a SGA. You don't get enough time on the clock to see any money being made. It can be slow depending on where your store is located so there will be days where you're on the clock with no one really coming in. So you're kind of just there until closing.
