I have been working at Gannett full-time (More than a year)

Pros

A huge media empire. Theres room for growth and plenty of opportunities

Cons

They don't take care of their employees. They care mostly about operations. They don't do salary adjustments although they know what a fair trade off is for an Account Executive in this market.

Advice to Management

Retain your star employees to sustain a strong foundation. Don't let them go when commission becomes an issue if you have the funds there to keep them happy.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Competitive pay, desire to modernize

    Cons

No real vision or understanding of how to update their antiquated business model. Leadership has no commitment to any of their new initiatives. They think that they will continue to be successful simply because they used to be successful. There is no concern for the quality of their product--only concern for their ability to sell it. Of course, they fail to recognize that those two things are linked.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to quality. Commit to your new initiatives.
