    I worked at Gap full-time

    Pros

Salary is market rate or above
Depending on the division you work in, annual cash bonus can be solid
    Good employee discount

    Cons

The norm is very poor management, all the way from the top down through upper, middle managers
Morale is very low throughout company so the top talent cannot be retained
Lots of politics and bureaucracy (it is retail afterall) where merit does not count much in most cases

    Advice to Management

Really listen to your employees as many have good ideas to help move everything forward! Stop trying to only protect your territory and your lofty position. Everyone working for you will be much happier and more productive. Oh yes, get rid of all the dead weight that's lying around.

I have been working at Gap full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good health benefits, vacation time was plentiful and accused quickly, and employee discounts program.

    Cons

Employees were giving direct reports as soon as they were promoted from an assistant level to the next. They were inexperienced managers with out proper guidance. It is very challenging to work under a manager that does not have any management skills and is using you as a chance to learn to manage people.

    Advice to Management

More leadership classes for new managers
