I have been working at Gap part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Very fun product. Nice people to work with and busy way to stay active.

Cons

Always chaning sales can get very confusing for the customer. Stores can be very busy which means constant messes.

I have been working at Gap full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get to work from home whenever you want. I enjoy my co-workers. Great city to work in.

    Cons

I feel like a robot in my job. There is really nothing creative about what we do. Direction is just pushed down from above and the company can't get a product pipeline in place that works. Every season is different and the order in which we do things seems strange.

Another thing that really bugs me is we spend so much time on the things that don't matter therefore we do not get to put quality work in what does. So many meetings it's not funny ( I know it's corporate life but it ridiculous sometimes)

Pay is on the lower spectrum at Gap.

I worked at Gap full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A bit company with a lot of resources. Travel opportunities, training programs, etc. I met quite a few wonderful people in the industry and it was a great source for new experience.

    Cons

Quite a bit of movement at the executive and senior management levels made consistency somewhat difficult. In my four years I reported into four different bosses which made my professional development somewhat challenging.

    Advice to Management

    More consistency.
