I worked at Gap full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

great store/brand discounts
good stock plan

Cons

no career advancement support within company from department leaders.
negligent on taking appropriate action regarding misconduct between employees.
cannot trust peers.
very cliquish.

Advice to Management

I would say to constantly keep your ears and eyes open because all is not what it seems. Support the growth of employees in department or to move cross-functionally to better their careers and interests. Take an ethical and serious stand regarding situations that are brought to your attention regarding unjust treatment.

I have been working at Gap part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyday is the same routine when entering. You must clock in and then go straight to your LOD. here they will let you know what sales and promotions are going on and what is our goal by the end of the day. Either opening a specific amount of gap cards and how much money we have to make.

Co workers are great to get along with. Managers are very respectable people since they know how your working. The discount is AWESOME! Plus you get a discount at Banana Republic & Old Navy

    Cons

The pressure to open gap cards. During holidays, it gets super messy and crazy. Some customers aren't too nice. After holidays, hours are cut.

I have been working at Gap part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The variety of people that shop at the gap makes your day go bye fairly quick. Wearing the clothes that you get for discounted prices is fun also. When I come to work I am happy because everyone is treated fairly.

    Cons

There aren't really any cons to working at the gap. The pay is good every two weeks and I love the discounts! I use to work a mc donalds in the city and they only gave me a discount for my break meal, meaning I had to pay full price even on my day off. That's why I am thankful for the gap!

    Advice to Management

    keep up the good work
