Gartner is strong on process - they are thoughtful and carefully followed.

Cons

There is no excess at Gartner - every expense is carefully scrutinized - down to the paper clips!

    I worked at Gartner full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Interesting product - employees are given full access to the research.
    Nice campus with gym and cafeteria.

    Cons

    From the top down, there is a serious lack of communication.
    There is little information/knowledge sharing.
    Managers are inconsistent, complacent, and concerned with protecting their jobs above all else.
    Innovation is not welcome.
    Very cliquey environment.
    Bonus targets are below market.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of complacent, resentful managers - especially those in HR.
