I have been working at General Atomics full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Lots of talent throughout the org. - opportunities to learn from the team - great benefits - amazing product - pay is on par - location - Managers expect you to make your own way and find opportunities and go for it. Interesting and fun projects that make a difference.

Cons

Growing pains as the company continues to grow.. but these are also opportunities to dive in and help out. Horrible on-boarding process (don't really have one) - training is getting better.

Advice to Management

Keep the star players and reward them. Let's think outside the box and find opportunities for continued growth. Pulse the staff for ideas...there are a ton of skilled and experienced people in the ranks - Keep up the great work -

I worked at General Atomics as an intern (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not much busywork, tons of items to tackle as an engineering intern. Very casual environment.

    Cons

Your manager will get caught up in politics and may not be available to help you out at all times. Environment has a sense of who you know and who you friend, not quality of work.

    Advice to Management

My manager was great, but at the executive level: work with those who have ideas to prospective customers.
