    Pros

Many smart, interesting people to work with. Excellent gym on site only $10 per month. Excellent educational opportunities. WPI teaches classes on site and you can also choose to go elsewhere to continue your education.

    Cons

More senior people are pigeon-holed and forced to work on legacy systems even if they express a desire to move on to more current projects. It is difficult to move on to another project for most people.

    Advice to Management

Training senior Level people would be more cost effective in the long run as they won't jump ship opposed to laying off senior level people and hiring younger cheaper engineers.

    Pros

Because it is hard to get young hard working people at this site, they are pretty responsive to those who do work hard. Overall the people are all very friendly and fun to work with. Work/life balance is excellent. Management seems to be pretty responsive to questions and requests.

    Cons

The Pittsfield location is not a desirable location for young engineers who didn't grow up here. Like all large companies it can sometimes be very difficult to get anything done because of the amount of red tape. There are a small amount of really smart people, and the rest of the people are just getting by

    Advice to Management

Find a way to punish those who are not performing as they should. There is too much dead weight around. Want to know how to cut costs? Start holding people responsible for their work. IF someone is not doing the job, then find someone who can and will!
