Pros

The cons outweigh the pros.

Cons

Where to begin. It’s basically Little India. Was hired as part of a new contract with one of the big 4 banks. Had my salary matched with a little extra added however since then have come to learn genpact have hired a bunch of Indians for as little as $45-$50k a year to do the same job. The expectations that they set out with the amount of time they give is just inhumane and impossible unless you cut corners on the quality of your work. There was very little to no communication, the team leaders I had during my time at genpact always seemed to never know what day it was let alone their ACTUAL job. In saying that team leaders were also the middle person between us (workers) and other “managers” who had ZERO understanding of the job themselves let alone our names. Workers at genpact are just a number to them and never treated like an actual worker, don’t be fooled. When workers joined from the big 4 bank to genpact we were all told different conditions of work and neither the HR/Payroll or executive knew how to fix the issue or could offer some sort of “meet in the middle” type of agreement despite multiple group meetings on this matter. Not to mention payroll never knowing how to pay correctly - we were forever having our pays processed incorrectly. Was absolute shambles when I joined and was absolute shambles when I left.

Pros

Supportive team environment with opportunities to work on challenging analytical projects. Strong exposure to pricing strategy, data analytics, automation, and cross-functional collaboration. Flexible work culture and opportunities to learn new technologies.

Cons

Some processes can be complex and require coordination across multiple stakeholders, which may occasionally slow decision-making. Priorities can shift quickly depending on business needs.
