-management doesn't walk the walk that they talk
-say that employees have freedom to think and create but when it happens the idea is either stolen or squashed
-management not educated and afraid to have hard conversations with employees

    Advice to Management

-get out from behind your desk, off your phone and stop txting. talk with employees. mentor them. that's your responsibility as a manager. care about the culture and the people. that's what art gensler started. keep that alive andnot the almighty dollar.

I worked at Gensler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free food, Friday beer socials

    Cons

Underpaid and undervalued staff, frequent 7 day weeks, no overtime, employee development here is a sham

    Advice to Management

If you don't care for design, and hard working employees have the spine to say it,than hide behind clever marketing tactics. Some of the women executives here run the office like their own personal household, making junior staff run to fetch them lunch even to mend their broken shoes ! It's pitiful !
