I worked at Georgia Tech part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great faculty for student employees. The faculty and graduate students in the chemical engineering department are eager to teach the students and help them past graduation.

Cons

Minimal payment ($10/hr) no matter how long you have been working in your lab. I also believe that there is a 10 or 20 hour maximum that you can work, limiting your paycheck.

Advice to Management

I never dealt with management directly, but as I said above, the faculty is still great.

Depending on your supervisor, you can schedule your own work schedule around classes.
Great work experience for those interested in attending graduate school in the future.

    Cons

Undergraduate research is a huge time commitment. Depending on your research and location, you need to be resourceful with limited equipment and supplies.

    Pros

Georgia Tech had a challenge environment in both course work and in doing research. There is a lot of diversity and interesting engineering opportunities.

    Cons

Some professors and research advisors act like they do not have time for students. That can be frustrating to those interested in learning.

    Advice to Management

    Improve professor/student interaction.
