Pros

Lots of PTO time starting on the first day. Good 401K profit sharing. Clean work environment. Very nice co-workers. Middle managers are very smart and loyal.

Cons

Morael is horrible. PTO is use it or lose it but they dont let you use it. There is alot of overtime and no work life balance. Overtime is not paid if you work more than 40 hours, but take a PTO day. Benefits are mostly 100% employee paid. Medical insurance has a $2400 yearly deductible.

Advice to Management

Change the PTO policy, to how it used to be. It's not set up fair by losing it but you don't let us use it.

    I worked at Gerotech (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The company has decent benefits. If you in sales you can really make bank. They give vacation/PTO but act very weird about actually using it.

    Cons

    President of the company is a complete nut job. He focuses so much on the little errors employees make that he misses the big picture in both improving employee moral and growing the business better. The "profit sharing" is divide up based on who he likes, which does not include anyone that is a threat to him in anyway. The culture is every man for himself. Team work is not encouraged. This company loses people due to requiring the employees to hold very poor ethical standards. This is something that starts from the top and has been going on for years. Those who don't comply are bullied out of the company, those who do comply get a heavier profit sharing. There is no growth or room for advancement, the company is too small for that, not to mention that would make you a threat to the president.

    Advice to Management

    Happy employees make happy profits. Consider sending the president out for extensive management training.

    I worked at Gerotech full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    I really can't think of any pros. There were a few employees who were friendly but other than that, nothing good about being employed at Gerotech.

    Cons

    So many bad things, president Haas is a micro manager, doesn't allow managers to make any decisions, he pits employees against the managers of the departments. He does not respect women in management positions and when he realizes his employees are smarter and more competent than he is he fires them. Gerotech has lost so many good managers over the last few years because of Mr. Haas. He has also implement changes which became moral issues for some because he was ultimately stealing from customers, not giving credit when it was owed.

    Advice to Management

    Advice to owner, get a new president for your company.
