Pros

Awesome work environment! Management actually cares about employees and try to maintain work life balance as often as possible. Nobody is cutting throats at Gilbert. As long as you are working hard and producing quality work, you are rewarded. Employees at all levels work to help teach others what they know. I find a real sense of friendship among the employees and an atmosphere of learning. The organization at Gilbert in terms of management is great and they continue to improve each year to streamline the process. This enables the firm to achieve better than average realization while keeping their employees happy. Busy season is like any other auditing firm, however nobody is working until 2AM knocking out work because they don't have to. The structure of scheduling provides for a better balance of workload among staff/seniors. The firm has made a noticeable effort to improve the technology and software used over the years. Management understands the importance of technology and its role in the CPA firm. Most equipment/software used rivals that of Big 4 firms.

Cons

Salary and bonus might lag behind some of international firms, but work life balance helps to even the scale. The firm should focus on expanding the industries services are provided for.

Pros

I was a bit nervous to make a move from my previous firm that I enjoyed but I am so glad that I did. Gilbert CPAs leadership has been more than amazing. Great benefits and work life balance and they give good bonuses/pay raises every year!

Cons

No cons, they are a great place to work!

Pros

The culture is really great and the people are very diverse. There are many opportunities to develop close relations with colleagues. Because everyone’s background is so diverse, you can find someone with similar interests to yours. They offer a competitive pay and standard benefits for the industry.

Cons

If you’re not good at communicating boundaries or setting expectations, it can get pretty easy to drown in work and stress. Work life balance can also take a toll after the second year of employment. Bonuses are determined seemingly arbitrarily. Also, if you don’t have extrovert skills, it can be hard to integrate yourself in already close knit cliques.
