Approves of CEO

Pros

The company researches, develops and delivers medicines to patients around the world. Great benefits and one of the few big pharma companies that seems to be in the right direction while the industry faces major change.

Cons

As is the case with any large corporation, it can be easy to get lost. Company is undergoing significant change.

Advice to Management

We are doing a great job adapting to the changing external environments (regulatory, heath policy, globalization), but there are also risks of turning employees off with so many changes over a short time.

    Pros

Great people to work with, great pay and benefits. The work is always challenging and interesting. Opportunities for development have been generous in the past.

    Cons

Constant restructuring leaves employees with sense of fear. Middle management is not clear in communicating their strategies. Long hours and some departments are not willing to allow flexible work options.

    Advice to Management

Continue to push middle management to follow the changes Andrew is trying to implement.

    Pros

Good flex-work. Allowed work from home for some days of the week. Friendly coworkers as well as management. Typically had optimistic attitudes.

    Cons

Getting someone else to do their part of supporting an app or change to app or OS is near impossible at times.
Seemed to be a lot of unknown information...or where to go to get that information. Always pointed to one place...and that one place would usually be ambiguous.

    Advice to Management

Learn more about where information is for bringing in new hires into your group. When change is needed on a server that is owned by your group, don't fight it for a month when the change HAS to be done and it only will end up taking 5 minutes in the end.
