I have been working at Gold's Gym part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

You pretty much make your own schedule.
Once you gain a large number of clients, your paycheck improves a lot.
Not a real stressful work environment.

Cons

You deal with a lot of different personalities. (a lot of negative)
The pay is not consistent.
It takes a long time to build up ur clients.

Advice to Management

Pay trainers on a hourly rate!

    Pros

Flexible schedule, work like balance, good sales structure to introduce you to clients, good reward system to increase pay. Fun people. Plus you get to work at a gym...how great is that?

    Cons

I imagine it would be really tough to make a full time living....I have another part time job, and it's pretty easy to score 20 sessions a week (but you do have to work to get an maintain clients. All of the resources are there for you though). It's kind of a macho atmosphere too. You also have to pay for your own education, which is understandable, but a drawback.

    Advice to Management

    More free education opportunities!
