Negative Outlook

I worked at Gold's Gym part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Very friendly environment, if you want a customer service job where you get paid to essentially have fun, this is the place for you. Free membership.

Cons

This is not the job for you if making money is your objective, and open 365 days a year means limited time off.

Advice to Management

Up the pay rate a little and you will get a better level of employee.

This is a performance based industry and job. Stay on your toes, be aggressive and sell. You will do very well.

    Cons

There is no such thing as external influences that affect sales performance. Perform or go home.

    Advice to Management

Constructive, positive criticism goes a long way.

I worked at Gold's Gym part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    You get a free membership!

    Cons

Always caught inbetween the drama of the Membership Consultants vying for new customers. Can't speak casually and friendly with customers, have to "read lines from a script."

    Advice to Management

Show some compassion for your employees, don't treat them as the first step towards new members.
