I have been working at Golden Gate Regional Center full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Excellent social work experience dealing with different issues that may impact individuals with developmental disabilities; eg povery; homelessness; mental health issues; health issues, etc.; excellent sick and vacation benefits

    Cons

Very high caseloads; difficult to give everyone on your caseload the attention that they may require; as a non-profit agency salaries are relatively low ~ difficult to live in the expensive Bay Area

    Advice to Management

Make all efforts to reduce case load size

I worked at Golden Gate Regional Center full-time

    Pros

It's challenging work, but if you find this field rewarding GGRC is a good choice. Supervisors are supportive.

    Cons

Salaries are not enough to live in SF. No substantial retirement plan.

    Advice to Management

    Connect with Calpers
