I worked at Golden Living full-time

    Pros

    Great intentions....no follow through

    Cons

Management staff from facility level all the way up are often unprofessional and simply blame someone else who is apparently expendable. Training is often non-existent and when something goes wrong, the company stance is, "that's not an excuse!" Absolutely ZERO work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

I don't even know where to begin. Look at some of your regional VP's and how they treat their teams. The bottom line has to be important, but you are putting the love of money far above the well-being of your employees. Really look at what is going on at the facility level. If you are not retaining management AND floor staff, wonder why and then do something about it!!! I've seen really good and caring staff leave because there are unrealistic expectations placed upon them and even when they do rise to the occasion time after time, there is no recognition.
