I worked at Goldman Sachs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Salt Lake City Operations is a great place to start if you have no finance experience. Smart people, good perks, good resume builder. Great HR policies (maternity/paternity leave), bonuses CAN be generous.

    Cons

No loyalty-- they will fire you based on bureaucratic politics. They pull in based on the GS name and you need up doing a job that is about volume and monotous and honestly not-super difficult skills.

    Advice to Management

Be transparent about what new hires will be doing. Don't try to pitch them on being able to move into a hedge fund, trading, wealth management etc.

I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great people to work with
    Incredible benefits

    Cons

Hard to grow in your career in any office besides New York
The enormity of the company makes means there are a lot of politics and promotion is due more to corporate politics than merit

    Advice to Management

    Improve the review system
