Positive Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Goldman Sachs as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

This firm is very well respected in the industry, so your experience with them will be professionalizing. There is a steep learning curve and you are afforded a lot of responsibility very early on, but as a result you learn concrete and marketable skills.

Cons

The firm culture engenders a very cut-throat competitive environment, at least among junior employees. It is a strenuous work schedule due to late nights and early morinings.

    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company has unmatched benefits such as the 401k contributions, excellent healthcare (not so excellent any longer), dental, vision, and fitness reimbursement.

    Cons

The work life balance is seriously lacking You will find most do not take lunches or breaks. The appearance of working long hours is the critical function, not contribution (which is unfortunate). There is a lack of interest in experience and talented people. Salt Lake City is treated like a common everyday processing center without the consideration of treating their talent like human beings.

    Advice to Management

Focus on customer experience internal and external, don't put robotic personalities in to do the job. The managers need to be less technical and more people oriented. There is a imbalance that is created from the culture of those that are included for promotions and development and those that are not.
