Name recognition is great, easy to jump ship when the time comes. Managers are the best in the field and are willing to share their wisdom and knowledge.
Cons
I've heard that career growth can be slow if you're not a lateral hire. Below par pay compared to other firms.

company name look pretty on resume, sounds like high paying job
Cons
if you make 80k for working 80 hours a week, it is same as making 40k for working 40 hours a week. but without they telling you the hours, it does sounds like a high paying job, when i search on google, the first suggestion is "goldman sachs layoff" so definitely no feeling of job security most people that i know worked for goldman sachs just mainly sound more show-off-ish/ prideful, will tell you houw prestige their company is and pretending wanting to help you get a job in GS too, but when actually ask them about it they will ghost you. so i was waiting for the interview, the interviewer didnt show up. As i wait i did a little analysis reading the review here, so out of 12,901 reviews, 574 of them are 1star, 805 of them are 2stars, at least 1,921 are 3stars, I dont have the exact number for how many 3 stars because i stop counting as i reach page 330 and decide to stop waiting. also, the salary range for entry analyst start at 40k, not 60k.
