I worked at Goodwill part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Very green company. They salvage everything to get recycled for money. Many opportunities to move up. Discounts vary between regions. It's nice to get an eye on things first before customers get to them. However, you cannot touch anything until you are off the clock before or after your shift.

Cons

I wish the company came together as one instead of being split into regions.

Advice to Management

Think of Millennials and remodel all stores.

I worked at Goodwill full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

SOME hardworking co-workers. Some great supportive customers. No other pros.

    Cons

Never enough staff because of treatment from upper management and corporate. You will be expected to do the work of at least two people. Same amount of work required even if only 2 employees per shift(manager and 1 staff member). Horrible pay and demeaning raises.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs a reality check. Working in the store for one day and showing off does not impress anyone or prove anything. Expecting employees to be dishonest and expecting store management to report employees who refuse to be dishonest or misleading is wrong. What happened, is the money more important than being who you claim to be.

    Pros

They truly care about those in their on the job training program.

    Cons

I was not afforded more time with them to pick up on more skills to go along with those I already posses.

    Advice to Management

Simply keep up the extraordinary work!
