Pros
Offers Entry Level positions. Classes are offered for learning but they are a process in the making. Negotiable pay depending on location, experience, and the manager. Opportunities for advancement (depending on location/store) Promises further education of automotives. One hour lunches. 40hrs during high traffic months with some opportunity for overtime.
Cons
Every Goodyear location seems to run differently from the next. How functional or dysfunctional the work place is depends on those you work with and management. GMTS are meant to assist GS if it is very busy or if they have no work of their own but at my location it is my experience that they believe they are above doing their literal job description and only want to do the 'big boy' work. Nothing is done about it. GMT2s earn a solid commission on everything except tires but will push tires and oil changes on GS to avoid the work but will get paid extra work for it by being the primary sign off on the paperwork. Front desk and management does not correct this. Meanwhile it will look like that GS did no work. GS are not commissioned at all neither in pay or learning opportunities. Job growth is awful in this company. From lack of paying attention the management does not seem to notice or care that employees that slack and overload work for the employees that are working. "Huddles" just end up being a slap in the face for hardworking employees because of lazy employees. Blatant favoritism No social life
