Train your interns for specific roles. Its thier fault if they cannot figure out how to do thier job at that point.

I have been working at Google full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Stability
    - Lots of computing resources at your disposal
    - Mature codebase
    - Great colleagues
    - Outstanding remuneration

    Cons

    - Large company so your project might seem small in comparison (even when it impacts millions of users)
    - Career management is on the onus of the employee (but this might not be a problem once you hit senior which can be the steady state and you are comfortable with the work)

    Advice to Management

    * More structured career progression: tailor a career path instead of the ad-hoc / individualized career advancement based on managers
