I worked at Government of British Columbia full-time (More than a year)

Pros

benefits were decent and holidays were more than fair. This position was not a union position

Cons

Not able to be creative or think out of the box. Very compartmentalized and rigid

Advice to Management

Take some lessons from the private sector

    Pros

    nothing is positive. the salary is poor, promotions are not based on merit. I would talk a prospective applicant OUT of applying.

    promotions are not based on merit.
    pay is poor.
    management is out of touch with the rank and file.

    Advice to Management

    quit.
