I worked at Grainger for more than 10 years

    Pros

Had great benefits , profit sharing was the best. Many long tenured employees could retire with 6-7 figure funds and never had to put a penny in the fund !

    Cons

Out sourcing jobs , branch closings, benefits reduced.

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Grainger full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Top of the market benefits and compensation and plenty of ability to move around within finance.

    Cons

It is a very tenured department, so it is very hard to move vertically within finance or Accounting. There are people who have been in the same manager / director roles for 5+ years.
