I have been working at Grand Circle full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great pay for the travel industry, good travel benefits, casual dress every day

Cons

Company values count for more than actual results, which often results in the same associates being chosen as Top Performers every quarter, and typically they are the ones who spend more time with their lips on their Supervisor's but than actually doing their jobs.

Advice to Management

Treat your employees with email respect and support

I worked at Grand Circle full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good deals on travel.
Learned what I DON"T want to do again

    Cons

Long Hours, Mandatory OT, OK Pay
"Lets see if this works..." mentality
    Hiding behind "Thriving in Change"

    Advice to Management

Take a minute to listen to people that have been with the company more than a minute. Stop focusing just on the bottom line. Stop treating the call center like a red-headed step child. Especially since they are the ones that keep the place going.

I have been working at Grand Circle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you play into the brainwashing manipulating sales scheme on senior citizens - encouraged by your always changing supervisor - you could make a halfway decent paycheck for that month. Inconsistent pay as grading is changing constantly.

Travel perks if you are into going on a tacky & outdated river ship with senior citizens for half off the already super marked up price.

    Cons

Archaic systems that crash constantly. Mandatory overtime. Weekends. Nights. Very clicky supervisors/management. Gossip Gossip Gossip.Drug testing is done prior to hiring but never again afterwards as almost everyone is a stoner or worse, including management.Pointless meetings. Direction & focus of the company is always changing so nothing seems to get accomplished. Coworkers really are pitted against one another via the backwards and unprofessional values of the company. "Open Communication" is an excuse to say terrible things to coworkers without repercussion. Leadership makes unethical decisions. Obvious favoritism from management and supervisors.Human resources is far removed.

    Advice to Management

Fire all of the skill lacking employees who only have a job due to a personal or family relationship with the owner.

Maintain consistent goals with better pay.
