I have been working at Granite Claims Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Good company, takes care of it's people. Generally nice office environment.

Cons

Salaries for Adjusters who have not yet attained their CIP are way too low. It may be industry wide, but it's not right.

    I worked at Granite Claims Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Generally good people, special events like BBQ's, still small enough to not feel lost, insurance is generally a recession-proof industry, once you get your CIP you can make very good money.

    Cons

    Rock bottom salary (fairly standard in this industry), benefits are mandatory and expensive, reducing an already meager salary, independent claims adjusting is a very low margin business, leaving little room for error, belligerent customers who don't understand their own policies, poor training (being fixed), very high stress.
