I worked at Green Mountain Energy full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Most of the people were very nice.

Cons

No one seems to know what they are doing. And the idea of Best Practice gets tossed out the window for low cost and fast.

Advice to Management

Its important to bring in the right people not just cheap and available people.

    Pros

The benefits are incredible. Renewable Energy is a hot market. The office is really unique and modern and you get to work with some really bright and energetic folks.

    Cons

There's next to no room for advancement, only lateral moves or taking on additional responsibilities. Sales and marketing seem to be at odds with each other rather than working together.
