I worked at GreySpark full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nothing. One of the worst "small" companies I have come across.

    Cons

Often hires people based on who knows who, rather than merit and talent. I was promised projects that were more aligned to my interests, however, any projects these amateurs get are mundane and not challenging in the slightest. Staff on the whole are not the most experienced or even knowledgeable. Salary and benefits are lower than competitors and they only seem to promote a very small select few who they favour.

    Advice to Management

Hire some real talent, get some good projects under your belt and be more honest with the type of works that your firm offers

Dear Former Colleague, it seems you have us confused with some other firm: - nobody ever held the job title of "Senior Fintech Analyst" in GreySpark - if you had ever worked in our FinTech Strategy Team, you would have been involved in complex and challenging M&A and Due ...

I have been working at GreySpark full-time

    Pros

GreySpark has a strong culture in terms of ideas and knowledge sharing. People have the opportunity to contribute, to be challenged intellectually and to learn, leading to a natural tendency towards thought leadership and being in step with the current (and future) challenges that our clients have to contend with. GreySpark is an international firm with a client-centric approach and is able to successfully partner...

    Cons

Although GreySpark has a comprehensive career ladder framework which caters for people that can progress via a "Management / Commercial" track or an "Expert" track, continued investment in helping people to think of themselves as a "business owner" and not just an "employee" will help to define the mentality of whether people embrace the opportunity with GreySpark as a business opportunity as opposed to just a day job.

    Advice to Management

Break down the long term objectives in to manageable short term targets on a more rigorous basis, aligned to specific regions. (Each region tends to be at a different stage of corporate development to the others, so a one size fits all rule book does not always work).

I worked at GreySpark full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good opportunities for project pitching.

    Cons

No guidelines and training. No effective performance review. Limited work experience. Non-effective management on onsite employees. Limited promotion changes or biased treatment on employees. Less leadership for the manager.

    Advice to Management

Please pay more attention to your employees and the "field" that the firm presents to be professional.
