    I worked at Grimshaw-Architects full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Generally a modern, bright and fair working environment. Supportive of Part 3 studies. Lots of office social events on offer.

    Cons

Depends hugely on which team you land in as to whether your time and effort will be valued. Some teams will value the project more than the team member which will be demeaning and possibly abuse overtime hours without reward.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Projects are usually prestigious and if you're lucky you can work with great professionals.
Working hours are usually pretty good.
Sir Nick is a super cool guy!

    Cons

Politics is crazy. You often have the feeling that your skills are not that important if you're not diplomatic enough.
HR management is awful. Some associate doesn't remember what being an architect means.
The appraisal system is a joke: nobody listens to you, really.

    Advice to Management

You're keeping hiring people able to speak and to behave as a manager, but totally useless as architects and designers....and at the same time you're firing who's able to produce stuff.....I mean...it is supposed to be an architectural office....someone has to do the job at the end....
